Katherine Wins Active Penwith Award

At the first ever Active Penwith Sports Awards, held in St Johns Hall on Friday evening, there were a host of awards given to sports men and woman from all corners of the sporting world from all over Penwith.

The first award of the evening was for Under 18 Volunteer of the Year and against stiff competition this was awarded to Katherine Sharp. The award was not only for her work as chair of our Youth Committee and work with the youth sailing last session but also for her role organizing the slip during the nationals week…and many more duties through the year.

Meanwhile Penzance Sailing Club was also awarded as runner up in the Club of the Year category, behind Hayle Runners. Well done to Katherine and everyone that made this possible.
