The Training Group

Our active Training Group comprises of volunteers with a variety of experiences and qualifications.

The main aims of our Training Group is to encourage people in West Cornwall to take up sailing, enjoy the experience and be safe on the water.

Through our Training Group our club is an RYA Training Centre for:

RYA Dinghy Course
RYA Powerboat Courses
RYA Shorebased Courses
ICC

With the help of the RNLI and other organizations our Group also runs courses such as, RYA VHF, Fist Aid and Sea Survival.

Our main training course are run at the start of the sailing season between Easter and June. Please book your space early to avoid disappointment.

Don't have a boat?
If you don't have a boat, the club owns a number of training dinghies that were bought and are maintained by the Training Group. We can also provides taster sails for those interested in sailing.

On holiday in Cornwall?
We do not aim to compete against commercial RYA Training Centres.
